Hans Jørgen Langeland

Hans Jørgen Langeland is an Associate Partner at law firm CLP and specialized within trade law.
He has extensive experience with advice and dispute resolution in trade law structures such as franchise agreements, JVs, supply agreements, distribution agreements and agency agreements, and regulatory matters in connection with these.

Among the retail segments Langeland has worked extensively within are groceries, consumer electronics, construction goods, cars and clothing. He has also assisted within several service-based segments, such as hotels and food service.

Langeland has during the latest years assisted numerous retail businesses with e-commerce set ups, hereunder development of contract models and compliance with consumer regulatory rules.

Langeland has broad international experience. In the period 2013-2016 Langeland worked as lawyer in Asia, where he was stationed at Wikborg Rein’s Shanghai office.

Kjetil Vågen

Kjetil Vågen is a Partner at law firm CLP and has extensive experience in advising clients within the various types of chain operations, with main focus on the retail/trade segment.

Vågen assists a large number of chain operators, both franchise chains and chains in which the distributor owns all distribution channels, as well as chains that are a combination of such chains. The client base includes international, European, Nordic and Norwegian actors.

The client base mainly operates within the retail segment, but clients also include restaurant chains and service businesses, such as hotel chains.

Kjetil Vågen assists clients with mergers and acquisitions, corporate law, franchise agreements, trademark law, competition law, public procurements, distribution agreements, joint venture agreements, privacy protection/GDPR, lease agreements, bankruptcy and contract law.
 

Kjetil Vågen is ranked as number 1 in the category of trade/retail in Finansavisen's lawyer survey for the past 5 years.

Carl Arthur Christiansen

Carl Christiansen is a Partner at law firm Ræder and has worked within the field of commercial law for more than 30 years, with primary focus on international distribution and agency issues, as well as structuring and operation of Norwegian retail chains and cooperation structures.

Christiansen assists both Norwegian and international manufacturers and retailers – and his experience ranges from distribution of shipping equipment and machinery to fashion and brands.

Christiansen acts as an advisor to several of the trade industry's organisations and is The International Distribution Institute's Norwegian expert on agency and franchising (www.idiproject.com).
